On February 26 episode of Channel A's television show "Sinrang Class," Shim Hyung-tak officially registered the birth of his son, Ha-ru.
After finishing the paperwork, Shim Hyung-tak happened to receive a call from actor Lee Sang Woo.
Shim Hyung-tak said to Lee Sang Woo, "These days, I feel like my body's falling apart, but I couldn't be happier. Ha-ru's just so beautiful. His eyes are huge, and he has such a high nose bridge."
Lee Sang Woo responded, "Yeah, and how does he have that much hair already?"
Shim Hyung-tak laughed and replied, "My wife was the same when she was born. Whenever I'm exhausted, just looking at Ha-ru's pictures makes all the stress disappear. This is the power of a child, the power of family. And honestly, I couldn't have done it without you."
He then thanked Lee Sang Woo for being there for his bachelor party, his wedding in Japan, and his wedding in Korea.
He ended up calling actor Lee Min-woo, who is 48 and still single.
"Ha-ru is seriously the cutest," he said proudly. Shim Hyung-tak also sent Lee Min-woo a photo afterward.
When Lee Min-woo asked, "Is he already smiling?" Shim Hyung-tak beamed, "Every day! Even the doctors and nurses at the postpartum care center said they've never seen a newborn smile so much."
Lee Min-woo took a closer look at his son and said, "He really takes after your wife."
Shim Hyung-tak agreed right away, saying, "Right? Isn't he gorgeous? He already looks like a handsome actor."
But as he kept going on and on, the unmarried Lee Min-woo started to lose interest.
Shim Hyung-tak laughed, realizing it himself, "When I married Saya, I couldn't stop talking about her. Now that we have a baby, I've turned into a total dad. I can't even explain how happy I am. My apologies!"
