'Buried Hearts' Park Hyung-sik Takes on the Illegitimate Child of Woo Hyun... The Counterattack Begins
Treasure Island[SBS Entertainment News | Kang Sun-ae] Park Hyung-sik is gearing up for a full-fledged counterattack in 'Buried Hearts.'

SBS's Friday-Saturday drama 'Buried Hearts' (written by Lee Myung-hee, directed by Jin Chang-kyu) has claimed the top spot in the Friday-Saturday drama ratings right from its first week. According to Nielsen Korea, the viewership rating for the second episode surged by 2 percentage points compared to the first episode, reaching a peak of 9.9%. Additionally, it topped the integrated content ranking announced by KinoLites, signaling an unstoppable box office success.

The explosive response to 'Buried Hearts' in its opening week can be attributed to the captivating storytelling by writer Lee Myung-hee, the immersive direction by Jin Chang-kyu, the outstanding performances by the cast led by Park Hyung-sik (as Seo Dong-joo) and Heo Jun-ho (as Yeom Jang-seon), and the powerful cliffhangers that leave viewers eager for the next episode.

On the 27th, the production team of 'Buried Hearts' released a glimpse of Seo Dong-joo preparing to strike back, just a day before the airing of the third episode. With betrayal from his lover and an attack by the villain Yeom Jang-seon pushing him to the brink, viewers are left wondering how Seo Dong-joo will initiate his counterattack.

In the released stills, Seo Dong-joo is seen visiting Ji Seon-woo (played by Cha Woo-min), the illegitimate child of Dae-san Group chairman Cha Gang-cheon (played by Woo Hyun). The serious expression on Seo Dong-joo's face contrasts sharply with the innocent smile of Ji Seon-woo, drawing attention.

In episode 2 of 'Buried Hearts,' Cha Gang-cheon discovered that his granddaughter Yeo Eun-nam (played by Hong Hwa-yeon) is in a relationship with Seo Dong-joo. Yeo Eun-nam is in an arranged marriage with Yeom Jang-seon's nephew Yeom Hee-cheol (played by Kwon Soo-hyun). Although Seo Dong-joo decided to resign from Dae-san Group, Cha Gang-cheon revealed the existence of Ji Seon-woo and his plan to eventually place Seon-woo at the top of Dae-san Group. This sets the stage for Seo Dong-joo's solo visit to meet Ji Seon-woo.

Notably, at the end of episode 2, Seo Dong-joo was attacked by the villain Yeom Jang-seon, putting him in a life-threatening situation. As anticipation builds for Seo Dong-joo's counterattack, viewers are left to wonder how his visit to Ji Seon-woo ties into his plans.

In relation to this, the production team of 'Buried Hearts' hinted, "Starting from episode 3, Seo Dong-joo's full-fledged counterattack will begin. Viewers can expect thrills and tension."

The thrilling counterattack of Seo Dong-joo will commence in 'Buried Hearts' episode 3, airing on Friday, the 28th, at 10 PM.
