Will the animated film 'Attack on Titan: The Last Attack' be able to take down the weakened 'Mickey 17'?

With its release just a day away, 'Attack on Titan: The Last Attack' has climbed to the top of the pre-sale rankings, signaling another potential phenomenon.

According to the Korea Film Council's pre-sale statistics on March 12, the film has achieved a 24.3% pre-sale rate with 58,000 tickets sold, surpassing the current box office leader, 'Mickey 17' (20.7%, 49,000 tickets).

'Attack on Titan: The Last Attack' is a 144-minute film that compiles the final season of the popular TV anime based on Hajime Isayama's hit manga.

It depicts the final battle between Eren, who seeks to destroy the world after uncovering its secrets, and the Survey Corps, who aim to stop him.

While 'Mickey 17' surpassed 2 million viewers within 10 days of its release, it has begun to decline in its third week, with daily attendance dropping below 50,000.

In contrast, 'Attack on Titan: The Last Attack' has reached the top of the pre-sale rankings, buoyed by the strong support of the 'Attack on Titan' fanbase.

Notably, it has exceeded 50,000 pre-sales despite being a Megabox exclusive release.

'Attack on Titan: The Last Attack' will be available at Megabox starting on March 13.
