The Korean Film Archive (Director Kim Hong-joon) is hosting a special screening and audience discussion to mark the 10th anniversary of director Hong Seok-jae's film 'Socialphobia,' which explores cyberbullying and group psychology in the age of the internet and social media.

Released in 2015, 'Socialphobia' delves into the dangers of cyberbullying and mob mentality by following the controversy over malicious comments left on news of a soldier's suicide and the subsequent flow of public opinion on internet broadcasts and communities. Despite being a low-budget independent film, it attracted over 250,000 viewers and became a significant talking point. It is also a valuable work that showcases the early performances of actors Byun Yo-han, Lee Joo-seung, and Ha Yoon-kyung, who are now leading figures in the Korean film industry.

A representative from the Korean Film Archive stated, "'Socialphobia' goes beyond a simple thriller to meticulously depict how public opinion is formed and distorted in modern society. Given the current issues of online witch hunts and fake news, it is expected to resonate even more strongly today."

Following the screening, there will be an audience discussion featuring director Hong Seok-jae, actor Lee Joo-seung, and film journalist Kim Hyun-min.
