[Music Y] A Short but Intense 'JENNIE Show'; JENNIE Spotted Shedding Tears While Thanking the Audience

The 70-minute performance was intense. It was undoubtedly shorter than other concerts and lacked interaction with fans. However, JENNIE's presence as an 'icon' was undeniably powerful.

The concert 'The Ruby Experience,' held on March 15 at Inspire Arena in Incheon, was as intense as JENNIE's first solo album 'Ruby,' released on the 7th.

On a stage draped with red curtains, JENNIE ascended while looking at her reflection in a large mirror. The album's theme was inspired by the various character transformations in Shakespeare's 'As You Like It.' It was unique in that it relied solely on music, with minimal staging and costume changes.

JENNIE performed powerful dance tracks like 'Mantra,' which expresses love for women forging their own paths, 'ZEN,' which carries the message of "loving your true self," 'Like JENNIE,' 'with the IE,' and 'ExtraL.' Rather than exhaustion, a sense of fulfillment was evident throughout her performance.

Fans from various countries who attended JENNIE's concert chanted "JENNIE, JENNIE" with enthusiasm. Although the concert started about 10 minutes late and lasted only 70 minutes, which might have felt short, it seemed like most fans were satisfied with the performance.

Towards the end of the concert, JENNIE expressed her gratitude, saying, "Thank you to everyone who came to my first solo concert. Being up here makes me feel really shy for some reason. Can we shine a light on the audience? It still feels like a dream, and I can't believe it's real. Being here and greeting you all is overwhelming." She spread her arms wide and looked up at the ceiling, as if trying to etch the audience's cheers into her memory.

JENNIE also shared, "Preparing for the album and concert taught me so much. This album captures a more honest and somewhat silly side of me, rather than just a polished image, so everything feels new and like a fresh start." She could not hide her overwhelming emotions and shed tears.

After performing all 15 songs, JENNIE concluded the concert with encore tracks 'Starlight' and 'twin.' With a world tour with BLACKPINK on the horizon, this concert was JENNIE's first solo showcase, marking her initial step from a K-pop artist to a global icon.
