In the fourth episode of SBS' dating show 'Possessed Love 2', which aired on the 18th, the intense aftermath of the first-come, first-served dates was depicted, revealing the precarious situations and inner thoughts of the nine young fortune tellers.
On this episode, Shaman Jang Ho-am paired with Shaman Chae Yu-kyung, Shaman Jung Hyun-woo with Shaman Lee Ra-yun, Tarot reader Yoon Sang-hyuk with astrologer Kim Yoon-jung, and Shaman Lee Kang-won with Saju reader Hong Yu-ra for the first-come, first-served dates. Meanwhile, Saju reader Ha Byung-yeol was left alone at the Possessed House.
Throughout the date, Yoon Sang-hyuk showed his gentlemanly manners by providing Kim Yoon-jung with a lap blanket and slowing down the car for her to take photos, saying, "Take your time, be careful with your phone." This caught the attention of the hosts, with Yoo In-na commenting, "How can he be this considerate?" and RalRal adding, "Every word he says is filled with love." After returning to the Possessed House, he continued to show his caring side by preparing lemon tea for Kim Yoon-jung, who was feeling under the weather.
Most notably, Yoon Sang-hyuk turned out to be the Leo golden dragon and destined partner Kim Yoon-jung had been searching for. About Kim Yoon-jung, he also expressed, "I feel like Yoon-jung is someone I could fall for more deeply," sparking interest in how their relationship will develop.
Meanwhile, Jang Ho-am's relentless flirting with Chae Yu-kyung left the hosts speechless. Before the date, he prepared a charm to win the favor of his desired partner. When asked by Chae Yu-kyung if there was someone he wanted to build a connection with at the Possessed House, he confessed, "I've been interested in someone for a while. We seem to be a good match. I want to keep seeing you outside the Possessed House." Yoo Seon-ho praised his straightforwardness, while Yoo In-na called it "direct and to the point."
Jang Ho-am's bold confession, "I'm following my heart right now. I asked Yu-kyung out today because I was worried someone else might," left Chae Yu-kyung smiling and saying, "I don't know how to react to all this. Isn't he making it too easy for me to fall for him?" The hosts cheered for Jang Ho-am, giving him the nickname 'Hook Ho-am' for his charming persistence.
But that was not all. Jang Ho-am added meaning to every moment, saying, "The best part was dating Yu-kyung," and "It feels like the course was designed for us. During the meal, Yu-kyung said to me, 'It's tastier with salt.' But I heard, 'It's tastier with Ho-am,'" prompting Yoo In-na to declare, "This is the end here," as Jang Ho-am's flirtatious charm captivated viewers.
On the other hand, tension arose between Lee Kang-won and Lee Ra-yun. Lee Kang-won could not approach Lee Ra-yun due to something he said, leading to a failed date. In an interview with the production team, he admitted, "I felt like all my nerves were severed. I wanted to deny it and wondered, 'Am I really this incapable? Why wasn't I more honest?' I regretted it."
In contrast, Lee Ra-yun and Jung Hyun-woo quickly grew closer from the start of their date. They bonded over shamanic topics like yin saju and schedules, and when Jung Hyun-woo's fork broke during a meal, Lee Ra-yun joked, "Maybe my grandmother got angry about you teasing me," to which Jung Hyun-woo playfully replied, "Maybe the general put in too much strength," showcasing their unique chemistry.
After returning to the Possessed House, Lee Kang-won confessed, "Seeing how close Ra-yun and Hyun-woo have become made me upset, angry, and a bit bitter," expressing his regret for not being more honest with Lee Ra-yun.
The love lines involving Lee Kang-won, Lee Ra-yun, Jung Hyun-woo, and Hong Yu-ra underwent significant changes, heightening the tension and increasing viewer engagement as a love square began to form.
The results of the third day's Shaman's Choice vote were revealed as well, shocking everyone as astrologer Kim Yoon-jung did not choose her date, Tarot reader Yoon Sang-hyuk. Additionally, although Lee Kang-won and Lee Ra-yun went on dates with Hong Yu-ra and Jung Hyun-woo, respectively, they chose each other. Lee Kang-won stated, "I wanted Ra-yun," while Lee Ra-yun said, "I couldn't ignore how anxious Kang-won was. Isn't there already a growing emotion?" showing her unwavering feelings. Chae Yu-kyung added, "I really match well with Ho-am. Dating a shaman could be really fun and even more comfortable," while Jang Ho-am expressed, "Right now, it's just Yu-kyung for me," raising curiosity about how their relationship will progress.
The intricate romance of the young fortune tellers, caught between unavoidable fate and instinctive attraction, is predicted to continue its intense tug-of-war. 'Possessed Love 2' airs every Tuesday at 10:20 PM.
