[SBS Night] 'Kick a Goal' FC Actionista Defeats FC Gavengers 4-0 to Secure Top 6 Spot
Kick a GoalFC Actionista won the match against FC Gavengers.

On the March 19th episode of SBS' 'Kick a Goal,' the G League Group A preliminary matches took place.

The episode featured a group stage match between Actionista and Gavengers. Gavengers needed a win by a 3-goal margin to advance to the top 6, while Actionista had to defeat Gavengers to secure the top spot in their group.

Both teams entered the match with strong determination. Initially, the Gavengers relentlessly pressured Actionista.

However, they failed to convert their efforts into goals, and eventually, Actionista's Park Ji-an scored the opening goal. In soccer, no matter how well you play, you cannot win without scoring, and Gavengers' lack of finishing touch was their downfall.

The second goal came quickly. Lee Joo-yeon's pass was skillfully connected by Park Ji-an, adding another point to the scoreboard.

Actionista also had luck on their side. A shot by Tae Mi deflected off Heo Min's foot and into the goal, quickly extending the lead to 3-0.

Gavengers, who thought they could close the gap to two goals, began to falter. Unfortunately, the score gap widened further. Just before the end of the first half, Park Ji-an assisted Tae Mi for another goal.

Commentators remarked on Actionista, saying, "With the addition of Tae Mi, they've become like a national team," expressing their amazement.

At halftime, Gavengers tried to regain their composure. Coach Choi Sung-yong sternly reminded them, "This isn't just about playing recklessly. We said this was our last chance." He urged, "We have the second half. We need to show our supporters that we're giving it our all. We must never give up."

Gavengers did not give up until the end. They ran harder and attacked more aggressively than in the first half. However, breaking through Actionista's strong defense proved too difficult.

Gavengers' desperate shots either missed narrowly or hit the goalpost. They hoped for a miracle goal, but time kept ticking away, and even Oh Na-mi's final shot missed, ending the match as it was.

As a result, Actionista will face Gukdae Fam in their final group match to determine the final group standings, while Gavengers head to the elimination round.

At the end of the broadcast, a retirement ceremony for Jo Hye-ryun, who has been with 'Kick a Goal' from the beginning, was held amidst tears from her teammates, leaving a sense of longing.
