
JUNGKOOK of BTS has donated 1 billion won to support wildfire relief efforts.
The Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association announced on the 28th, "BTS member JUNGKOOK has contributed 1 billion won to aid those affected by wildfires in the Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam regions."
Out of the donated amount, 500 million won will be used for emergency support and relief supplies for those who have lost their homes due to the wildfires. The remaining 500 million won will be allocated to improve awareness and working conditions for firefighters dedicated to disaster sites like wildfires and other emergencies.
JUNGKOOK expressed, "I hope this can provide some help to everyone going through tough times due to the wildfires. I wish for those affected and those working tirelessly to control the fires to quickly return to their peaceful daily lives."
Shin Hoon, Secretary-General of Hope Bridge, stated, "We are grateful for JUNGKOOK's generous contribution to his neighbors. We will do our utmost in our field support activities to ensure his sincerity brings great comfort to the affected residents."
JUNGKOOK enlisted in the army as an active-duty soldier on December 12, 2023, and is expected to be discharged this June.
