Actress Seo Ye-ji, who was previously criticized for allegedly gaslighting her ex-boyfriend actor Kim Jung-hyun and causing issues on the set of his drama, is now taking a direct approach to address the backlash.

Recently, Seo Ye-ji mentioned her Kim Jung-hyun on a paid fan communication platform. When a fan sent her a message saying, "Just thinking about Kim Jung-hyun or Park Jung-hyun or whatever his name is makes me angry," Seo Ye-ji responded, "Don't even mention his name. That name is a stress trigger."

On this platform, celebrities can choose which fan messages to respond to. This has led many to speculate about why Seo Ye-ji chose to address a fan's sensitive message related to her past gaslighting controversy.

It seems Seo Ye-ji has shifted her strategy from staying silent to actively addressing past controversies. On April 12, she appeared as a host on 'SNL Korea' Season 7, where she directly mentioned the gaslighting issue. She also turned the controversy into a humorous moment by responding to Kim Won-hoon's comment about having a "stiff" neck with, "No, it's 'hard,'" drawing attention.

Previously, in 2021, Seo Ye-ji was embroiled in a controversy for allegedly gaslighting her then-boyfriend Kim Jung-hyun. Reports revealed that she instructed him to reject all romantic scenes with his co-star Seohyun and to act "stiffly" around other women. This reportedly caused distress for Seohyun, as confirmed by staff testimonies, further fueling the controversy.
