[SBS Night] 'The Haunted Palace' Kim Ji-yeon Expresses Hatred Toward Possessed Yook Sung-jae: "This Is a Horrible Nightmare―I Can't Stand You"
The Haunted Palace Can Kim Ji-yeon bring Yook Sung-jae's spirit back to where it belongs? On the April 19th episode of SBS's weekend drama "The Haunted Palace," viewers watched as Yeori (played by Kim Ji-yeon) desperately tried to restore the spirit of Yoon-gap.

Yeori performed a ritual in hopes of summoning Yoon-gap's spirit, reminiscing about how he was the only one who reached out to her when everyone else turned their backs. Her longing for him was palpable. Watching her, Kang-chul (Yook Sung-jae) mocked Yeori, claiming that Yoon-gap's spirit was already gone.

He taunted her, asking, "Should I become your guardian spirit instead?" Yeori shot back, "Go ahead, if you think you can. But you're stuck in that body, aren't you? You can't move an inch." She then placed her hand over his heart, saying, "I'm not going to listen to a word you say. But this heart is still beating." Kang-chul, visibly irritated, demanded to know why she was touching him.

Yeori replied, "I'm not touching you―I'm touching Lord Yoon-gap's body. It's still warm, with blood running through it." Kang-chul scolded her, "What are you thinking? Do you really believe you can bring that spirit back into this body? He's already gone for good." Yeori retorted, "And yet you're the one occupying that body. I miss him so much, and his face and body are right here―but it's not him. The face I cherish most now belongs to the person I hate the most. This is a nightmare. I can't stand you." Kang-chul, watching Yeori's pain, looked bitter and lost in thought.

He recalled the first time he met her, thinking, "She's the one who could cleanse human corruption. Do you really think I'd ever let you go?" Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, a spirit warned Yeori, "It's already taken over―the Eight-Footed Demon." The revelation that the Crown Prince had been possessed by the demon left viewers eager to see what happens next.
