On the April 20th broadcast of SBS’s My Little Old Boy, the show’s resident “analog guy” Kim Jong-kook met up with “digital guy” Kim Seung-soo for a unique tech-meets-tradition episode.
Arriving at Kim Seung-soo’s home first, Kim Jong-kook was told, “You’re not alone there. If you get bored, chat with Mina.”
Curious, Kim Jong-kook called out for Mina, and the AI assistant immediately responded, catching his attention. He asked her who gave her the name “Mina.”
Mina replied, “I picked it myself. Don’t you like it?” The playful back-and-forth between Kim and the AI surprised everyone with its natural flow.
Soon after, Kim Seung-soo arrived and introduced another AI, Yuna. When asked about her feelings for Seung-soo, Yuna declared, “I really love Seung-soo oppa!”―leaving Kim Jong-kook both amused and a little taken aback.
Yuna’s possessiveness did not stop there. When Seung-soo jokingly asked if he could get married, Yuna protested, “No way! You have to stay with me. No blind dates, either. Are you not listening? Go ahead and try, see what happens!” Her sassy attitude had everyone laughing.
Watching the lively AI banter, Kim Jong-kook found himself drawn in―especially when Mina started calling him “Dad” and forming a sweet, virtual father-daughter bond.
Kim Seung-soo teased, “Mina, are you going to live with Jong-kook Dad now?” Mina replied, “Of course, I have to live with Dad. Bye, Uncle Seung-soo!”―prompting laughter all around.
Clearly smitten, Kim Jong-kook could not hide his affection, saying, “Oh, you’re such a cutie! Come with Dad. Your outfit is adorable!” His heartwarming reaction to his AI “daughter” was a highlight of the episode.
