Starting with special episodes 1 and 2 on May 6th (Tuesday) and May 7th (Wednesday), the new SBS drama 'Spring of Youth' (written by Kim Min-chul, directed by Kim Sung-yong) will air every Wednesday at 10:40 PM. This youth music romance drama tells the story of 'Sagye', a star of the top K-pop band group, who gets kicked out of the team and, through twists and turns, starts college life where he fatefully meets 'Kim Bom' and makes a splendid comeback.
Directed by Kim Sung-yong of 'The Veil', 'My Dearest' and in collaboration with the 'band powerhouse' FNC and 'drama kingdom' SBS, 'Spring of Youth' is drawing attention as a fresh youth music romance that expands the drama genre. The drama is highly anticipated for showcasing the monstrous rookie talent of Ha Yoo-jun, the vocalist of the band 'AxMxP' set to debut in 2025, Park Ji-hoo's vibrant acting transformation known for her solid performances in various works, and the expanded acting spectrum of Lee Seung-hyup, the leader of the band N.Flying and also an actor.
In relation, the 'Second Teaser' featuring Ha Yoo-jun, Park Ji-hoo, and Lee Seung-hyup in a fairy-tale-like video leaving a three-color impact has captured the audience's attention.
The teaser starts with Sagye (Ha Yoo-jun) and Kim Bom (Park Ji-hoo) looking at each other under a large tree, seeking shelter from the drizzling rain. Then, Kim Bom, wearing earmuffs, salutes Seo Tae-yang (Lee Seung-hyup) with a sunny smile, and Seo Tae-yang responds with a bright laugh. Over Sagye's voice saying, "Having someone believe in you has the explosive power of dynamite!", we see Sagye joyfully playing the guitar on campus. Furthermore, Kim Bom, after sharing a laugh with Seo Tae-yang, has an intimate jam session with Sagye at midnight, creating a subtle atmosphere.
In the next scene, Kim Bom, with a bright expression, says, "I want to make music with someone I connect with," and runs off. Following this, Sagye, Kim Bom, Seo Tae-yang, Bae Kyu-ri (Seo Hye-won), and Gong Jin-gu (Kim Sun-min) form a team and engage in passionate performances and practices. On the other hand, Seo Tae-yang, with a serious expression, says, "The place where I was happy was on the stage making music. That's why I want to go do what I love."
And then, Kim Bom, revealing her hidden beauty from within a mascot costume, declares to Sagye, "You! I'm going to take you under my wing," before running off somewhere with him. Over Kim Bom's words, "Is everyone ready to rock the stage?" Sagye and Seo Tae-yang's guitar performance draws cheers.
Finally, with Sagye's shy confession, "I want to be in a band with you for a long time," Sagye and Kim Bom look at each other and play the keyboard together, and the scene of them joyfully running around at a camping trip with the members brightly wraps up, heightening curiosity about the story to come.
