Starting with a special airing of episodes 1 and 2 on May 6th (Tuesday) and May 7th (Wednesday), the new SBS drama "Spring of Youth" (written by Kim Min-chul, directed by Kim Sung-yong) will broadcast every Wednesday night at 10:40 PM. The drama tells the story of 'Sagye', a star of the top K-pop band group, who gets kicked out of the team and, through twists and turns, starts college life where he fatefully meets 'Kim Bom' and makes a splendid comeback in this youth music romance.
"Spring of Youth" is directed by Kim Sung-yong, known for his exceptional directing skills with hits like "The Veil" and "My Dearest", and produced by the 'band powerhouse' FNC, with broadcasting by the 'drama kingdom' SBS. It is touted as a youth music drama that continues the legacy of the 2009 sensation "You're Beautiful". The cast, including youthful actors Ha Yoo-jun, Park Ji-hoo, Lee Seung-hyub, Seo Hye-won, and Kim Sun-min, brings the perfect visuals and fresh energy for a campus drama, promising heart-fluttering moments and laughter this spring.
On the 24th, the team behind "Spring of Youth" revealed the surprise appearances of Lee Hong-gi and WONHEE.
Lee Hong-gi, the original idol band member and recognized globally for his acting and stage performances starting with his role as Jeremy in "You're Beautiful", takes on acting once again in "Spring of Youth". Buried among thick books, Lee Hong-gi exudes an intellectual vibe with his curly poodle hair and horn-rimmed glasses, but also sparks curiosity with his somehow comical look as he peeks out and shines with his gaze.
Meanwhile, ILLIT's WONHEE showcases her refreshing beauty with peach-toned makeup, long hair, and a soft smile. Especially, WONHEE, dressed simply in a white tee, jeans, and a checkered shirt, exudes the aura of a 'casual goddess', turning a simple outfit into a photoshoot. The anticipation is high for what role WONHEE will play, with more details on her special appearance to be revealed later.
