"It's a game, do we have to work this hard?"... 'Devil's Plan 2' Yoon Sohui, CHUU, Jeong Hyungyu, and Choi Hyunjoon share their follow-up stories
Devil's PlanIn the brain-busting survival reality show on Netflix, 'The Devil’s Plan: Death Room' (hereafter 'Devil's Plan 2'), actors Yoon Sohui, singer Chuu, influencer Jeong Hyungyu from 'Transfer Love 2', and KAIST-educated model Choi Hyunjoon share their experiences post-filming.

On the 28th, Cosmopolitan released a photoshoot and interview with the four participants.
Devil's Plan
'Devil's Plan 2' pits players from various professions against each other in a 7-day live-in brain battle to determine the ultimate intellect. The show, premiering on May 6th, promises intense mental warfare among 14 players including Lee Sedol, Justin H. Min, Kyuhyun, Kang Ji-young, Yoon Sohui, Seven High, Lee Seung-hyun, Jeong Hyungyu, Choi Hyunjoon, CHUU, Kim Ha-rin, Park Sang-yeon, Son Eun-yu, and Tino.

After enduring a grueling week of mental challenges, Yoon Sohui, CHUU, Jeong Hyungyu, and Choi Hyunjoon reunited for a Cosmopolitan photoshoot and shared their reflections on the intense competition.

CHUU revealed her reason for joining: "I'm a huge fan of survival reality shows. I thoroughly enjoyed the last season of 'Devil's Plan' and was curious about how watching it on Netflix compared to participating in real life. It was a mix of curiosity and a spirit of challenge."
Devil's Plan
Yoon Sohui shared, "I felt similar to CHUU. I was curious to see how far I could push myself in extreme situations and wanted to discover aspects of myself I didn't know existed."

Jung Hyungyu said, "After watching the last season, I imagined myself on the show, thinking I could do well. So, when I got the offer, I was like, 'Yes, let's do this!'" Choi Hyunjoon, with a background in mathematics, found the concept intriguing: "Solving problems is my daily routine and life. Unlike math, where you can dwell on a problem until you find a solution, a 'survival brain game' requires finding the most ideal answer within a limited time. That challenge appealed to me."
Devil's Plan
Discussing the most intense moments of the game, Yoon Sohui recalled, "Everyone was trying their hardest to survive, leading to some fierce moments. There were times I thought, 'Is this too much for just a game?'" CHUU added, "This season, the space was divided into a prison block and a living block. Being in the prison block meant facing off against those in the living block, leading to constant vigilance and competition. It was terrifying. I wanted to show I wasn't an easy target, though I'm not sure how well that worked," she laughed.

Choi Hyunjoon commented, "Participating in 'Devil's Plan 2' felt like we were all granted immunity. The challenge was to present our strongest and most personal selves within the game. I wasn't worried about revealing my worst side; we all played in the most instinctual way possible."

Interestingly, Yoon Sohui and Choi Hyunjoon are alumni of KAIST. Yoon Sohui joked, "Since we're from the same school, I had mixed feelings about Hyun-jun doing well. I thought maybe I could bribe him or rely on him in tough situations."
Devil's Plan
When asked who made the most memorable first impression, Jung Hyungyu mentioned Lee Sedol, "The man who beat AI." CHUU found Jung Hyungyu surprisingly impressive: "His gaze was intense. He seemed very smart and calculated. (Insert positive spin here!)"

Yoon Sohui was struck by Seven High, a poker player, who showed up in a casual baseball jacket, exuding an air of nonchalance. Choi Hyunjoon was wary of Tino, a board game YouTuber: "He's spent his life playing board games. I wondered how good he could be and knew I had to avoid going head-to-head with him."

'Devil's Plan 2' will premiere its first four episodes on May 6th, followed by episodes 5-9 in the second week, and episodes 10-12 in the third week.
