The group (G)I-DLE is gearing up for a full comeback with a pre-release track.
Cube Entertainment announced on May 8th through (G)I-DLE's official social media channels (Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, Shuhua) the release of the music video teaser for 'Girlfriend', the pre-release track from their 8th mini album 'We are'.
In the teaser video, (G)I-DLE boldly expresses themselves alongside the intensifying music. Yuqi starts by walking towards a car with a shattered windshield against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower and the Seine River, while Shuhua looks out of the car's backseat with an expressionless face. Minnie and Soyeon are seen fully enjoying the music in a crowded club, followed by Miyeon, who captures attention as she walks with her hair tightly tied. The members then freely run through the night streets, laughing together.
Additionally, the typography for 'Girlfriend' along with phrases utilizing the titles of all six tracks included in the new album - 'Good Thing', 'Girlfriend', 'Love Tease', 'Chain', 'Unstoppable', 'It's Okay' - caught the eye.
The music video for (G)I-DLE's pre-release track 'Girlfriend' will be released at midnight on May 9th, and the 8th mini album 'We are', featuring a total of six tracks, will be available on various music sites at 6 PM on May 19th.
