The SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'The Haunted Palace' (written by Yoon Soo-jung, directed by Yoon Sung-sik) is a fantasy romantic comedy that intertwines the fate of a reluctant shaman, Yeori, and the Imugi, Gangcheol, trapped in the body of Yeori's first love, Yoon Gap, as they face off against a vengeful eight-foot-tall ghost entangling both body and soul. With its intriguing premise of possession by an Imugi, the actors' inspired character portrayals, fascinating palace mysteries, and the chilling presence of K-ghosts, the show has continued its high ratings streak, clinching the number one spot in its time slot for three consecutive weeks, as well as being the top Saturday mini-series.
