Ryu Jun-yeol & Seol Kyung-gu Team Up in 'The Mouse' for Their First On-Screen Collaboration, Chasing Hidden Truths
The MouseActors Ryu Jun-yeol and Seol Kyung-gu are set to star together in the Netflix series 'The Mouse' (literal translation).

'The Mouse' is a thriller about a reclusive novelist, 'Moon-jae', who teams up with a loan shark 'No-ja' who had been after him, to reclaim his life from a mysterious 'Mouse' that stole everything from him in an instant.

Reclusive writer 'Moon-jae' finds himself suddenly locked out of his phone's fingerprint recognition, and even his closest friend disappears. With no way to prove his own identity, 'Moon-jae' discovers that a mysterious 'Mouse' has stolen his name, identity, and wealth. Inspired by the folk tale that a mouse can become human by eating fingernails, the original Kakao Webtoon of the same name serves as the basis for the Netflix series 'The Mouse'. The series promises to deliver a gripping story as it explores the blurred lines between reality and deception while chasing hidden truths.

Ryu Jun-yeol and Seol Kyung-gu, known for their solid acting skills, lead the drama. Ryu, who has perfectly embodied characters in a variety of works such as the Netflix film 'Revelations', the Netflix series 'The 8 Show', and movies 'The Night Owl', 'Little Forest', will play the role of 'Moon-jae', a novelist living in isolation due to social anxiety. 'Moon-jae's' quiet life is turned upside down overnight when everything is stolen by the mysterious 'Mouse'. Ryu's portrayal of 'Moon-jae's' turbulent inner world is highly anticipated.

Joining him is Seol Kyung-gu, who has left a strong impression in every project with his deep gaze and irreplaceable presence in the Netflix series 'The Whirlwind', 'Hyper Knife', and movies 'Kingmaker' and 'The Book of Fish'. He plays 'No-ja', a private investigator and loan shark who will do anything for money. 'No-ja', who had been tracking down 'Moon-jae' after he disappeared with borrowed money, gets entangled in the case to recover his money upon 'Moon-jae's' request to uncover the identity of 'The Mouse'. Seol's portrayal of the cold yet dangerous 'No-ja' is expected to add depth to the drama.

The screenplay is penned by Lee Jae-gon, who has shown his prowess in crime dramas with 'Special Affairs Team TEN' and continued to captivate audiences with character-driven narratives in the Netflix series 'A Model Family'.
