Rapper Beenzino found himself at the center of a political controversy after posting a photo of himself wearing red on the first day of early voting for the 21st presidential election.
On the 29th, Beenzino uploaded a post titled "World Burgundy Day" on his social media. The photo featured Beenzino wearing red shorts and a vest, holding his son, and holding a donut filled with red cream.
Many speculated that Beenzino's post, featuring the color red, might indicate his support for a particular political party known for its association with the color.
About two hours into the heated debate, Beenzino deleted the photo and posted an apology.
He stated, "I sincerely apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable with my post today." He clarified, "There was absolutely no political intent behind it. I simply wanted to share the joyful moments I had with my family a few days ago and in the studio this morning. I realize now that my timing, considering it's the early voting period, could have led to misunderstandings, and I admit I wasn't careful enough."
Previously, aespa member KARINA also faced political controversy for posting a photo wearing a red jumper with the number '2' on it during an election period, leading her to delete the photo and apologize.
