Jung-sook (nickname), a participant from the 10th season of 'I Am Solo,' has been caught up in controversy for allegedly selling a counterfeit luxury brand necklace at a charity auction. Despite claims of being cleared of any wrongdoing, it has been reported that she is still under police investigation.
The initial report of Jung-sook's counterfeit necklace sale controversy was made by JTBC's 'Crime Chief,' which recently stated on social media, "Due to the high volume of inquiries, we feel compelled to clarify. Following our broadcast, Ms. A (Jung-sook) defended herself on her personal social media, stating, 'The case was concluded with no charges against me. This article has turned me into a villain. I am not a person who lives by deceiving others.' However, contrary to Ms. A's claims, we have reconfirmed that the police investigation is still ongoing. We hope this clears up any misunderstandings."
According to 'Crime Chief,' aired on the 28th, a whistleblower, Mr. A, claimed that he won a luxury brand necklace for 2.2 million won at a charity auction hosted by Jung-sook in February, only to discover a month later through appraisal that it was a counterfeit. Another participant, Mr. B, also reported receiving a counterfeit luxury brand bracelet from Jung-sook at the auction and has filed a complaint as well.
Following the report, Jung-sook took to social media to assert that the issue had already been resolved with no charges, denying any allegations of counterfeit sales. However, she has since remained silent on the details and has stopped managing her social media accounts.
Meanwhile, Jung-sook is set to appear on MBN's 'Dongchimi,' with a preview featuring her participation aired at the end of the show on the 31st. It remains to be seen whether 'Dongchimi' will proceed to broadcast Jung-sook's segment as planned.
