The SBS youth drama 'Spring of Youth' (written by Kim Min-chul, directed by Kim Sung-yong) is captivating viewers with its rapid plot development, becoming a textbook example of a binge-worthy drama. Fans are deeply empathizing with the characters' emotional journeys and eagerly speculating about their next moves, showing enthusiastic engagement.
In the last episode, Park Ji-hu's character, Kim Bom, was heartbroken when Ha Yu-jun's character, Sagye, announced he would quit both the band 'Tusagye' and singing. Furthermore, after being told by Kim Jong-tae's character, Seo Min-chul, to let go of Lee Seung-hyub's character, Seo Tae-yang, Kim Bom declared the disbandment of 'Tusagye'. However, she was shocked to discover during a part-time job that her song's chorus was used without permission as the comeback track for 'The Crown'.
In the upcoming episode 6 of 'Spring of Youth', Lee Hong-gi will make a special appearance as a lawyer, adding vitality to the drama. In the episode, Kim Bom seeks legal advice to sue JoandJo Entertainment for plagiarizing her song.
Holding her composition notebook, Kim Bom points out the identical parts of her song in 'The Crown's comeback track, claiming plagiarism. However, lawyer Lee Hong-gi's indifferent response frustrates her. Eventually, an irritated Kim Bom snaps at him, leading to a heated exchange. Suddenly, Lee Hong-gi throws his glasses aside and stands up in a burst of anger.
The reason behind Lee Hong-gi's outburst and whether Kim Bom, now filled with determination instead of tears, can successfully sue JoandJo Entertainment for plagiarism, heightens the curiosity.
The filming with Park Ji-hu and Lee Hong-gi was conducted in a warm atmosphere. Park Ji-hu, feeling shy about singing in front of the senior Lee Hong-gi, confessed, "I think I'm going to die of embarrassment." Lee Hong-gi reassured her, showing his caring senior side, and even added some hilarious ad-libs not in the script, turning the set into a sea of laughter.
The production team shared, "Making his drama comeback with 'Spring of Youth', FTISLAND's Lee Hong-gi, despite his limited screen time, thoroughly prepared for his role and passionately sought ways to add fun to the scene, deeply moving the staff." They added, "Don't miss the fantastic chemistry and playful bickering between Lee Hong-gi and Park Ji-hu in episode 6."
'Spring of Youth' airs every Wednesday night at 10:40 PM.
