JTBC's new weekend drama 'Good Boy' (written by Lee Dae-il, directed by Shim Na-yeon) is a comedic action youth detective series where medalists turned police officers fight against a world rife with immorality and cheating, wearing their police badges instead of medals. Oh Jung-se plays 'Min Joo-young', a customs official by day who secretly controls the city of Inseong by night.
In the second episode of 'Good Boy' aired on the 1st, Oh Jung-se portrayed the dual nature of Min Joo-young, who, contrary to his cold and merciless true self, lives an ordinary life with a neat appearance. He was seen threatening a bloodied Lee Kyung-il (played by Lee Jung-ha) with cruelty, and without a hint of emotion, he burned an article about the national team's special investigation unit, revealing the ruthless and violent nature hidden behind his benign facade.
Especially at the end of the broadcast, a tense showdown was set up between him and Yoon Dong-ju (played by Park Bo-gum), injecting the series with a high level of suspense. Standing unflinchingly in front of Dong-ju, who suspects him of being involved in a hit-and-run case and comes to the customs office, he completed a tension-filled ending, leaving viewers eager for the next development.
From his first appearance, Oh Jung-se instantly grabbed viewers' attention with his immersive portrayal of Min Joo-young's sinister side. With just a fleeting look and signature hand gestures, he deeply embedded the character's duality of day and night, elevating the drama's tension. As Oh Jung-se is set to play a pivotal role with his powerful presence, all eyes are on how his cold and chilling performance will expand the world of 'Good Boy'.
