First up, 'Mercy for None,' premiering on the 6th, is a noir action drama where Nam Ki-jun (played by So Ji-sub), who once severed his own Achilles tendon and left the world of 'Mercy for None,' returns after 11 years following the death of his brother Nam Ki-seok (played by Lee Jun-hyuk), a former second-in-command of the organization, to uncover the truth behind his brother's death and seek revenge.
In 'Mercy for None,' Choo Young-woo plays Lee Geum-son, a current prosecutor and the son of Lee Joo-woon (played by Heo Jun-ho), the leader of the 'Joo-woon' organization that dominates 'Mercy for None.' Lee Geum-son harbors dark ambitions that could overturn the power dynamics of 'Mercy for None,' leading to unpredictable developments. Choo Young-woo is set to deliver a new charm by portraying Lee Geum-son with a cool-headed determination.
On the other hand, in the upcoming tvN Monday-Tuesday drama 'Head Over Heels,' premiering on the 23rd, Choo Young-woo trades in his suit for a school uniform. Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, the drama tells the story of a boy fated to die and a young shaman girl determined to save him, weaving a tale of unbridled first love and salvation among eighteen-year-olds. Choo Young-woo plays Baek Gyeon-woo, a high school student who, on the outside, appears cold but harbors a warm heart, wishing not to cause harm to anyone.
Thus, Choo Young-woo is aiming for another dual hit by crossing from noir action to youth romance.
