At the Netflix series 'Squid Game Season 3' production press conference held on the morning of the 9th at the Grand Ballroom Halla in Seoul Dragon City, Yongsan District, Seoul, Director Hwang Dong-hyuk was cautious about revealing too much about the games in Season 3, stating, "I can only talk about what was shown in the trailer."
Hwang continued, "You might have seen in the trailer, there's a game where people are crossing a bridge and fall off when they get tangled up. That's one of the games. There's also a new game where participants are chased in a maze-like space, divided into teams wearing red and blue, searching for something." He added, "These games might remind you of tag, hide and seek, cops and robbers - they all have elements of the games we played as kids, reimagined for 'Squid Game 3'. And there's a hidden game that will appear at the end, not shown in the trailer."
Particularly about the character 'Cheol-su' appearing next to 'Young-hee' in the trailer, Hwang mentioned, "Young-hee and Cheol-su were always a pair, even in textbooks. I wanted to show them together in Season 2 or 3, to show the global audience that there's a male character alongside Young-hee, which is why we introduced him in Season 3."

Meanwhile, 'Squid Game 3' follows the story of Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), who re-enters the game with a personal agenda only to lose his closest friend, the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) who infiltrated the game in disguise, and the survivors of the brutal game as they face their final fate. The series, known for its fresh setting and compelling storyline, has caused a global sensation. The last chapter of 'Squid Game' is eagerly anticipated worldwide.
Once again, Director Hwang Dong-hyuk takes the helm as director, screenwriter, and producer, with Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Wi Ha-jun, Park Gyu-young, Lee Jin-wuk, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-shim, Jo Yu-ri, Chae Gook-hee, Lee David, Roh Jae-won, Jeon Seok-ho, and Park Hee-soon, bringing the characters' final destinies to life with a solid ensemble performance.
'Squid Game 3' will be released on Netflix on the 27th.
