BTS members RM and V have completed their military service.
Meeting fans at a sports park in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do, RM and V were all smiles, with RM even celebrating his discharge with a trumpet performance.
The duo announced their discharge with a spirited salute. RM said, "We're finally discharged. It was the shortest possible military service, and the conditions were favorable. I realized how many people are protecting our country. Thanks to them, we can actively pursue our careers. I've grown closer to my father and friends who served before me during my service."
He added, "I'm worried about my juniors. I hope they hang in there and join us back in society soon. Thanks to our fans, ARMY, for waiting. As BTS RM, I'll jump back into action and give my all. I can't wait to perform on stage and work on our album for a comeback," expressing his gratitude to the fans.
V also shared, "The military was a time for me to reflect and get a grip on both my body and mind. I've rebuilt myself and can't wait to rush back to our fans, ARMY. I'm truly grateful to everyone who waited for us during our military service."
He continued, "If you wait a little longer, we'll return with an amazing performance. As RM mentioned, there are still officers and soldiers in our unit who took great care of me. I hope they complete their training safely and discharge without any injuries. I'm thankful for their support and will strive to be a great person in society."
RM and V were discharged on the morning of the 10th after 18 months of service. They enlisted in December 2023, serving in the Army's 15th Infantry Division band and the 2nd Army Corps' 802nd Military Police Battalion, respectively.
JIMIN and JUNGKOOK, who enlisted together, will return to fans on the 11th. With SUGA, who is serving as a public service worker, set to be discharged on the 21st, all seven members of BTS will have completed their military service, marking the end of their hiatus.
