During the press conference for the new SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Our Movie' (written by Han Ga-eun and Kang Kyung-min, directed by Lee Jeong-heum) held at Yongsan I'Park Mall CGV in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 10th, director Lee and Namkoong Min expressed their feelings about working together again on the same project. The two had previously collaborated in the 2017 SBS drama 'Falsify' as director and lead actor, respectively.
Director Lee started, "‘Falsify’ was my feature debut, and it was also the beginning for Namkoong Min as the protagonist. We shared a kind of camaraderie back then and had fond memories of that time."
He continued, "Meeting again after eight years, Namkoong Min has become a global superstar, while I'm just a small fry in broadcasting," he joked, adding, "So, I was hoping to ride on his coattails a bit."
Namkoong Min said, "I first met the director during 'Falsify', and I have very fond memories of that time. To put it simply, we were both fresh and pure, learning about each other and working passionately."
He added, "This project still has that purity, but now there's also a sense of maturity. We shared stories, and as an actor, I listened well to the director and we filmed together," Namkoong Min praised, "You'll see when you watch it, but the direction was fantastic."
'Our Movie' tells the urgent love story of a director, Lee Je-ha (played by Namkoong Min), who has no tomorrow, and an actress, Lee Da-eum (played by Jeon Yeo-been), who believes today is her last. It is the follow-up to 'The Haunted Palace' and premieres on the 13th at 9:50 PM.
