'Our Movie' Jeon Yeo-been Shares, "My Terminally Ill Character Made Me Rethink Love, Life, and Happiness"
Jeon Yeo-beenIn 'Our Movie,' Jeon Yeo-been, who plays a character with a terminal illness, revealed she strived to showcase vitality instead.

During the press conference for SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Our Movie' (written by Han Ga-eun and Kang Kyung-min, directed by Lee Jung-heum) held in the afternoon of June 10th at Yongsan I'Park Mall CGV in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, Jeon Yeo-been said, "Rather than showing what it's like to be terminally ill, I focused on living in the moment and the vitality of life in my performance."

'Our Movie' is a melodrama that tells the urgent love story of a film director, Lee Je-ha (played by Namkoong Min), who has no tomorrow, and an actress, Lee Da-eum (played by Jeon Yeo-been), who lives as if today is her last.

In the drama, Jeon Yeo-been plays Lee Da-eum, a terminally ill actress who gets the chance to become a lead actress at the end of her life. Despite her illness, Da-eum, a cheerful and free-spirited soul, tirelessly works to become an actress. She eventually auditions for and lands the lead role in Je-ha's film, which features a terminally ill character.

Jeon Yeo-been described her character, saying, "Da-eum is aware of her limited time due to a genetic disease, and she lives her life as fully as possible, more so than anyone else. She was a vividly alive person in the script. Seeing her strive to live made me reflect on myself. She lived every moment with urgency because she couldn't afford to lose a single one. I tried to connect with that mindset."

She continued, "Reading the script, I felt Da-eum was like sunshine. Not only is she beautiful during the day, but she also shines brightly, lighting up the world, and even in her final moments, she remains beautiful. I was curious about what kind of person Da-eum was and wanted to live as her."

Furthermore, Jeon Yeo-been expressed her affection for the character, saying, "During the 7-8 months of working on this project, my heart became healthier thanks to Da-eum."

Lastly, Jeon Yeo-been shared, "While filming 'Our Movie,' I pondered a lot about what happiness in life means, what it means to live and love. Working on this project clarified my heart. I want to share the happiness, love, and life I felt with everyone and hope you'll watch it."

'Our Movie' will follow 'The Haunted Palace' and premiere on the 13th at 9:50 PM.
