Hong Jin-kyung & Lee Dong-hwi Bring Laughter to Seongbuk-dong; 'Whenever Possible' Hits No. 1 in Ratings Among Ages 20-49
Whenever Possible'Whenever Possible,' featuring Yu Jae-seok, Yoo Yeon-seok, Hong Jin-kyung, and Lee Dong-hwi, filled Tuesday with laughter through their seamless blend of goofiness and brilliance.

The latest episode of SBS's 'Whenever Possible,' aired on the 10th, topped the ratings among viewers aged 20-49 with a 1.3% share, and 3.9% among metropolitan households, according to Nielsen Korea. This solidified its status as a powerhouse in Tuesday night entertainment, outperforming all other variety shows and dramas.

In this episode, co-hosts Yu Jae-seok and Yoo Yeon-seok, along with 'Whenever Friends' Hong Jin-kyung and Lee Dong-hwi, visited an ice cream shop and a photo studio in Seongbuk-dong, delivering non-stop laughter and good fortune.

From the get-go, Yu Jae-seok and Yoo Yeon-seok couldn't help but laugh at the natural clumsiness of Hong Jin-kyung and Lee Dong-hwi. Lee Dong-hwi, who recently bumped into Hong Jin-kyung abroad, shared, "Sister's popularity is no joke. People recognize her from 'Solo Hell' as they pass by." To this, Hong Jin-kyung corrected, "Single's Inferno," but Lee Dong-hwi teased, "Last time you called it 'No. Solo Hell,'" making Yu Jae-seok burst into laughter. Yoo Yeon-seok's attempt to hold back his laughter failed when he commented, "Isn't that a bit too literal?" This exchange set the stage for their unpredictable and delightful banter.

The first 'gap owner' they visited was an ice cream shop owner, a KAIST graduate who majored in engineering. He shared his passion for ice cream's physical properties and how scooping ice cream makes him feel like a child again, bringing smiles all around with his genuine love for the craft.

The game that kicked off with two bonus coupons was 'Bounce and Catch,' where Yoo Yeon-seok and Lee Dong-hwi effortlessly completed the first level on their first try, stirring excitement. However, as the difficulty increased from the second level, Yu Jae-seok declared, "We need to practice," leading to a Spartan training session that eventually led to a clean sweep of the second level on their fifth attempt. They even managed to conquer the third level with just four attempts left, using their bonus coupons, flipping the atmosphere with the thrill of success. Hong Jin-kyung expressed, "It's so rewarding. I got goosebumps the moment we succeeded," sharing the joy with the shop owner.

Riding the wave of success, the group then visited Lee Dong-hwi's favorite restaurant. Hong Jin-kyung revealed her fan admiration for Yoo Yeon-seok, mentioning how much she enjoyed the movie 'Beauty Inside,' watching it multiple times. Yoo Yeon-seok, appreciating the compliment, playfully pointed out, "But Dong-hwi is also in it, with the most scenes." This unexpected revelation made Hong Jin-kyung sweat, while Lee Dong-hwi joked, "I had the most scenes with Han Hyo-joo. Are you teasing me? But it's okay." Yoo Yeon-seok added, "I only appeared in voiceovers until the end, showing up physically only in the Czech Republic," causing Hong Jin-kyung to collapse in laughter. Yu Jae-seok, charmed by the local beef soup restaurant, mentioned, "I should take some to go. Na-eun would love it, and so would Ra-el," showing his caring side as a father.

The second 'gap owner' they met was running a combined photo studio and cafe. The second game, 'Everything Quiz,' involved identifying objects from pictures. Yu Jae-seok optimistically said, "We're feeling lucky today," setting high expectations.

Hong Jin-kyung mistakenly shouted "sprayer" upon seeing a humidifier, causing confusion, but miraculously, "sprayer" became the answer in the next challenge, smoothly securing the first level. The excitement peaked when they succeeded in the second level on their fourth attempt, with Yu Jae-seok exclaiming, "What's happening today?"

When the 'gap owner' reassured them that mistakes were okay, only to express disappointment at the lineup of wrong answers by saying, "Honestly, that was easy," Hong Jin-kyung didn't miss the chance to playfully jab back, turning the scene into a laughter fest. Yu Jae-seok remarked, "We've done quite a bit, but it's the first time the client and we have teased each other like this," laughing heartily. Despite missing the final level at the last chance, Yu Jae-seok performed a dedicated 'Only You' performance for the 'gap owner,' ending on a high note of laughter.

Thus, the four stars continued to deliver an endless stream of laughter with their charmingly imperfect appeal. Their unpredictable banter breathed fresh life into the streets of Seongbuk-dong.

Co-hosts Yu Jae-seok and Yoo Yeon-seok, in 'Whenever Possible,' gift moments of fortune in the brief gaps of everyday life, airing every Tuesday night at 9 PM.
