Model Hong Jin-kyung faced speculation for posting a picture in a red outfit the day before the presidential election, leading to rumors of political support. She countered, "I'd stake my daughter's future, who is more precious to me than my own life," denying any political intentions.
On June 10th, on her YouTube channel 'Zzin Genius', she shared, "I came straight here from the airport after a business trip. I brought those clothes with me. I was told to 'keep quiet until things settle down,' but I didn't want to. I believe there are people who would understand if I'm completely honest."
Hong Jin-kyung explained that due to a pre-scheduled business trip, she was unable to vote in the presidential election and had flown overseas. She bought a red outfit from a brand she adores near her accommodation and posted a celebratory photo on social media without much thought, not realizing the situation would escalate.

Hong Jin-kyung stated, "I agree that I should have been more cautious, especially since I've hosted three presidential candidates on my YouTube channel. I apologize for not being so. However, I want to emphasize that wearing that red outfit was not meant to show support for any particular candidate."
Most notably, Hong Jin-kyung said, "My mother told me to 'speak with my conscience,' but I feared people wouldn't believe it. So, I have a daughter, Ra-el, who means the world to me, and I swear on her life, thinking it might make people believe me. I'm willing to lay down my life a hundred times for my precious daughter, and I believe staking Ra-el's future can prove my innocence."
