Insulting graffiti targeting singer BoA has surfaced around Seoul's Gangnam Station.
Fans expressed concern, saying, "We're worried BoA might be hurt if she sees this graffiti," and took it upon themselves to remove them.
Recently, online communities have been abuzz with reports and photos of graffiti, containing derogatory content about BoA, appearing on utility poles, meter boxes, transformers, and bus stops around Gangnam Station.
According to reports from BoA's fans, someone left behind graffiti written in black marker saying 'SM (Entertainment) BoA has contracted a sexual disease,' and passersby were seen reading this graffiti.

Unable to stand by, BoA's fandom took action to protect the artist by reporting the incident to the local police's cybercrime unit and personally taking to the streets with wet wipes to find and remove the graffiti.
One fan said, "I wanted to watch over the cleaned spots all night but couldn't. All I hope is that the artist hasn't seen the graffiti. We couldn't just leave them, so we cleaned them up and reported it," explaining their actions.
The identity of the person behind the graffiti attacks on BoA and their motives remain unknown.
