SEVENTEEN SEUNGKWAN has shown his warm heart by donating to preserve the historical archives of his hometown, Jeju.
On the 11th, PLEDIS Entertainment announced, "SEUNGKWAN has donated 20 million won to the National Heritage Administration and the Cultural Heritage National Trust for the preservation of Jeju's World Documentary Heritage."
The donation will be used for the preservation of the Jeju 4.3 archives, which were registered as UNESCO World Documentary Heritage last April.
SEUNGKWAN, a native of Jeju, is well-known for his exceptional love for his hometown. Appointed as a promotional ambassador for Jeju in November last year, SEUNGKWAN contributed to the protection of the endangered Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins through a hometown love donation made through the Jeju Provincial Office.
Additionally, at the 13th UNESCO Youth Forum held in Paris, France, in 2023, SEUNGKWAN shared that Jeju is the first region in the world to be designated by UNESCO in three categories of natural environment simultaneously.
