During a press interview for the Netflix series 'Mercy for None' held in a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 12th, So Ji-sub couldn't hide his satisfaction with Lee Jun-hyuk's performance. "I'm extremely pleased. Even though it was just a cameo, he truly made 'Mercy for None' shine," he lavishly praised.
Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, 'Mercy for None' is a noir action drama that follows Nam Ki-joon (played by So Ji-sub), who, after severing his own Achilles' tendon and leaving the world of Mercy for None, returns 11 years later following the death of his brother and former second-in-command, Ki-seok (played by Lee Jun-hyuk), to uncover the truth behind his death and seek revenge. So Ji-sub, who was the top choice for the role of the protagonist Nam Ki-joon, has made his return to the intense world of noir action for the first time in 13 years since 'A Company Man'.
With Ki-seok's death opening the narrative of 'Mercy for None', Lee Jun-hyuk's role was brief, yet impactful. Lee had eagerly accepted the cameo role, playing So Ji-sub's brother, as revealed during a previous press conference.
So Ji-sub highlighted Lee Jun-hyuk's performance, saying, "He played the role so sexily. Everything he did was incredibly cool - just standing there, taking off his glasses. All of it felt so sexy to me." He even shared that he told Lee Jun-hyuk, "Why are you so sexy?" which apparently made Lee feel a bit embarrassed but pleased.

So Ji-sub, who has long been adored by the public for his various charms, including a sexy image, was playfully asked if he was ready to pass on the 'sexy man' title to Lee Jun-hyuk. "I'd hate to let it go, but I'm more than willing to hand it over to him," he joked.
So Ji-sub promises to keep viewers on the edge of their seats with his diverse action performances in 'Mercy for None', a series with a significant emphasis on action. The heavy, hard-boiled action genre of 'Mercy for None', enriched with an expanded narrative and a variety of spectacles from the original, offers intense entertainment. From So Ji-sub to Heo Jun-ho, Gong Myung, Choo Young -woo, Ahn Gil-kang, Jo Han-chul, Lee Beom-soo, and special appearances by Cha Seung-won and Lee Jun-hyuk, 'Mercy for None' maximizes engagement with its ensemble of unique characters.
Comprising a total of seven episodes, 'Mercy for None' was released in its entirety on Netflix on the 6th.
