YG Entertainment's leading producer, Yang Hyun-suk, has unveiled the second trainee he highly praises. Following the first reveal of EVELLI, this trainee is part of YG's new four-member girl group project presented to the public.
On the 16th, YG Entertainment posted "YG NEXT MONSTER | CHANYA - 'the grudge'" on their official blog. Like EVELLI, the first to be introduced, the video was shot during the monthly evaluation, focusing solely on live performance skills without any special stage effects.
The highlight of the video was the relentless high notes and the explosive release of pent-up energy, thrilling viewers. Particularly after CHANYA's song ended, Yang Hyun-suk, the chief producer, was captured giving a critique, saying he was "almost moved to tears," showcasing the deep impact and lingering emotions felt at the scene.

YG is currently rolling out the 'YG NEXT MONSTER' project, confirming the next girl group as a quartet and gradually introducing the members.
The first revealed member, EVELLI's rap video, has already surpassed 19 million views on YouTube, and the subsequent dance performance video has also exceeded 7 million views.
Despite being pre-debut trainee monthly evaluation videos, they have garnered a total of 26 million views, indicating significant interest. With the positive reception of the second member, CHANYA, anticipation for YG's next-generation four-member girl group is set to rise even further.
Additionally, at the end of the video released today, there was a message indicating that the remaining two members of the four-member girl group would be revealed towards the end of the year. This plan by Yang Hyun-suk is to focus on the upcoming BLACKPINK comeback and the tightly scheduled promotion of BABYMONSTER's new songs, starting with the pre-release single 'HOT SAUCE' on July 1st, continuing through the end of the year.
