This summer's most anticipated Korean film, "Omniscient Reader: The Prophet," has confirmed its release date for July 23.
"Omniscient Reader: The Prophet" is a fantasy action film where the world of a novel, which has been serialized for over a decade, becomes reality on the day it concludes. The story follows 'Kim Dokja,' the novel's sole reader, who, along with the novel's protagonist 'Yoo Joonghyuk' and their allies, strives to survive in a world that has fallen into ruin.
The release date announcement comes with a main poster that captures attention with its commanding presence, fitting for the summer's most awaited film. The intense aura of 'Kim Dokja' (played by Ahn Hyo-seop) and 'Yoo Joonghyuk' (played by Lee Min-ho), who seem to draw viewers into the novel's world with their direct gaze, sparks curiosity. The presence of 'Yoo Sangah' (Chae Soo-bin), 'Lee Hyunseong' (Shin Seung-ho), 'Jung Heewon' (Nana), 'Lee Jihye' (JISOO), and 'Lee Gilyoung' (Kwon Eun-sung) in the background, looking intently at a script, heightens the anticipation for the grand narrative that awaits them.
The tagline "The only novel I knew has become reality" teases the unpredictable scenarios the 'reader,' the novel's protagonist 'Joonghyuk,' and their companions will navigate in a world that has suddenly transformed into the setting of the novel, raising expectations for the unfolding story.

The main trailer, released alongside, begins with 'Kim Dokja's' line, "The story that was everything I loved has become reality," instantly drawing viewers in. The spectacle unfolds as a subway train suddenly stops on the way home from work, and the world of the novel becomes reality, with a goblin 'Bi-hyung' assigning the scenario. The chaos that ensues among the humans is depicted in a thrilling manner. The trailer is filled with never-before-seen visuals of a vast world and dazzling action scenes that quickly ramp up the atmosphere.
Signature actions unique to each character, such as 'silk threads,' 'shields,' and 'swords,' promise to deliver the essence of fantasy action perfectly. Moreover, 'Kim Dokja's' firm resolve to rewrite the ending not as the sole survivor but to ensure everyone survives together adds an intriguing layer to the epic journey they undertake with their companions.
"Omniscient Reader: The Prophet" will be available in theaters nationwide on July 23.
