Comedian Lee Kyung-kyu (65), who was booked by the police on charges of driving under the influence of medication, has once again issued an apology through his agency.

On the 26th, Lee Kyung-kyu's agency, ADG Company, stated, "We deeply apologize once again for causing concern to fans and many others due to recent media reports." This statement came after reports surfaced on the 8th showing Lee Kyung-kyu causing a minor collision and staggering on the road after taking medication for panic disorder.

In the statement, Lee's side said, "He has cooperated fully with the police investigation, truthfully explaining his health condition and the circumstances behind his driving. He deeply regrets causing concern due to his carelessness and has taken seriously the lesson that one should not drive in poor health, regardless of whether or not medication has been taken."

They continued, "The incident occurred while he was moving to visit a hospital after taking his usual medication for panic disorder and a cold. He acknowledges that he should have been more cautious and deeply regrets his actions. Lee Kyung-kyu is committed to being more careful about driving after taking medication to ensure such an incident never happens again. He promises to be more cautious and responsible in the future."

The Seoul Gangnam Police Station questioned Lee Kyung-kyu as a suspect for violating the Road Traffic Act for about 1 hour and 45 minutes starting at 9 PM on the 24th.

After the investigation, Lee Kyung-kyu stated, "I failed to fully recognize that one should not drive when not feeling well after taking medication for panic disorder. If one is taking medication that could impair their ability to drive, it might be best to refrain from driving. I will be more careful in the future."
