Actor Lee Byung-hun has been chosen as the focus of the Actor Spotlight at the 29th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN, Festival Director Shin Chul).

On the 30th, the 29th BIFAN unveiled the official poster for the Actor Spotlight titled 'The Master: Lee Byung-hun,' promising a well-prepared event. Additionally, details about the special commemorative book, exhibition, and merchandise for this spotlight were revealed.

The official poster captures a profound profile shot of Lee Byung-hun. Utilizing a black and white image to emphasize the actor's signature sophisticated charm, it symbolically represents the new paths Lee Byung-hun has forged as well as the dynamic future he is set to embrace as the face of Korean cinema.

The special commemorative book for the Actor Spotlight will be published to coincide with the opening of the 29th BIFAN on the 3rd of next month. This book includes critical observations that explore Lee Byung-hun's brilliance across various genres and narratives, as well as an interview titled 'Lee Byung-hun on Lee Byung-hun,' offering an honest conversation with the actor.

Content from directors and filmmakers like Kim Jee-woon, Park Chan-wook, Uhm Tae-hwa, and Hwang Dong-hyuk, who have worked with Lee Byung-hun, is also included. The special edition book will also be available as an eBook, attracting attention.

At the Hyundai Department Store Jungdong branch's U-PLEX 1st floor, a special exhibition titled 'The Master: Lee Byung-hun, His Cinematic Moments' will take place, offering a comprehensive look at Lee Byung-hun's filmography. Centered around his iconic works, the exhibition delves into his profound acting world through photos, videos, and actual collectibles. Highlighting the exhibition as a space for interaction between the actor and BIFAN audiences, it breaks away from traditional formats to create a more flexible and youthful ambiance.

The exhibition is designed with interactive spaces such as a photo zone and a fan message zone, allowing audiences to participate directly, which is sure to draw interest. The exhibition will run from the 4th to the 13th of next month.

Special merchandise for fans will also be released. This includes a set of 10 movie badges featuring characters from Lee Byung-hun's leading roles, DIY keyrings, and commemorative clip pens as limited edition goods. The movie badges will also be displayed as part of the special exhibition. These exclusive items will be available for purchase on-site at the Hyundai Department Store Jungdong branch's U-PLEX 1st floor exhibition space during the film festival.

The 29th BIFAN will take place from July 3rd to 13th across Bucheon city.
