Actor Choi Kwang-je shared his thoughts on the conclusion of 'Hunter with a Scalpel'.

On July 10th, Spring Company announced Choi Kwang-je's reflections on his role as detective Jang Hyuk-geun in the STUDIO X+U production 'Hunter with a Scalpel' (Planned/Produced by STUDIO X+U | Produced by Soul Creative | Directed by Lee Jung-hoon | Written by Jo Han-young, Park Hyun-shin, Hong Yeon-i, Jin Se-hyuk).

'Hunter with a Scalpel' is a crime thriller about a coroner, Se-hyun (played by Park Ju-hyun), who discovers her presumed dead father's familiar killing method on the autopsy table. Her father, a serial killer known as 'The Tailor', prompts Se-hyun to find him before becoming his next victim, racing against time with detective Jung-hyun (played by Kang Hoon).

Choi Kwang-je captivated audiences as Jang Hyuk-geun, a detective in the violent crimes unit of Yongcheon Police Station, showcasing a 'tough on the outside, soft on the inside' character. Initially skeptical of the new team leader Jung-hyun, Jang Hyuk-geun becomes a pivotal figure in the team's unity, sharing unspoken stories among team members and even launching secret operations against orders.

From his dynamic duo chemistry with the youngest detective, Seok-woo (played by Bin Chan-wook), to his fearless action scenes in pursuit of suspects, Choi Kwang-je added depth to the team's passionate investigation moments.

Choi Kwang-je expressed, "The set was always lively with action and emotional scenes as we chased down the culprit. I've grown incredibly fond of the team, and I already miss the days filled with endless stories with Jung-hyun, Chang-jin, and Seok-woo."

He continued, "Although the series is a thriller, our set felt more like a romantic comedy. Despite the challenging shoots and the occasional guilt over NGs, laughter and fun were always present. Everyone supported each other through it all, and I'm grateful for the wonderful six months we spent together."

"Having filled your Mondays through Thursdays for a month, I'm thankful to everyone who joined us for 'Hunter with a Scalpel'. Now that all 16 episodes are available, I encourage those who've watched it to enjoy a rewatch, and those who haven't to dive in for a thrilling binge-watch this summer," Choi Kwang-je urged fans to rewatch the series.

Concluding his message, Choi Kwang-je expressed his gratitude once more, "Thank you for your constant support. Stay cool this summer and always be happy."
