BoA Cancels 25th Anniversary Concert Due to Acute Osteonecrosis Diagnosis, Surgery Planned
BoASinger BoA has canceled her solo concert, planned to celebrate her 25th debut anniversary, due to health reasons.

On the 15th, her agency SM Entertainment announced, "BoA's fifth solo concert has been deemed difficult to proceed with due to the artist's health concerns." BoA, celebrating her 25th debut anniversary this year, had scheduled a commemorative concert for the 30th and 31st of next month at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul.

The agency explained, "Recently, BoA received a diagnosis of acute osteonecrosis requiring surgical treatment due to worsening knee pain. To prevent the progression of the disease, she has been advised by medical professionals to avoid strenuous physical activity, including dance and other performances, and to undergo surgery as soon as possible."

They continued, "As a result, we regret to inform you that BoA's fifth concert, scheduled for August 30th and 31st, has been unavoidably canceled. We deeply apologize for the sudden news and any concern it may have caused fans. This decision was made with the artist's health as our top priority, and we kindly ask for your understanding."

However, the album will be released as planned. The agency stated, "This year marks a significant milestone as BoA celebrates her 25th debut anniversary. In honor of this, and to meet the expectations of fans who have been eagerly awaiting, we plan to release the already completed album without any changes to the schedule. We will provide updates on the possibility of holding the concert in the future, depending on the artist's recovery progress after the surgery."
