Singer Shinji's husband-to-be, MoonOne, was mentioned in a broadcast by transgender BJ Kkotja, sparking online controversy over 'the relationship with transgender Sera'. Kkotja has stepped forward to clarify the situation.

In a personal broadcast on the 16th, Kkotja stated, "It's true that MoonOne and transgender Sera knew each other from the past, but they were not acquainted after the gender transition. MoonOne was completely unaware of Sera being gay or transitioning to transgender."

The controversy began when a viewer pointed out during Kkotja's broadcast that Sera and MoonOne were following each other on Instagram.

Both Kkotja and Sera appeared flustered, and further fueled speculation by mentioning DMs and KakaoTalk conversations, jokingly saying, "I wouldn't reveal the messages for a hundred million won," and "For five hundred million won, I might install KakaoTalk."

Regarding this, Kkotja explained, "Those comments did create room for misunderstanding. However, upon checking, there was nothing problematic in the conversations. The two have known each other since Sera was preparing to debut in trot music, from his male days, and were simply like brothers."

"Upon seeing Sera's Instagram profile picture, MoonOne even asked if 'his girlfriend was playing a prank,' showing he was unaware of Sera being transgender. He might have unfollowed out of surprise, but there's nothing odd about their relationship," Kkotja emphasized.

Kkotja added, "Even though my photos have spread and led to Instagram articles, it's really nothing significant. Please don't overinterpret the situation."

Meanwhile, MoonOne has recently been under scrutiny for personal controversies, including being a divorcee with children, following his marriage announcement with Shinji. On the 3rd, he took to his social media to apologize for "any discomfort caused by my careless actions and controversies."

Shinji also expressed her concerns on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' aired on the 16th, saying, "I'm worried about the impact on my team. The thought that 'Koyote could end because of me' is truly frightening."
