HYBE Music Group's artists have proven their formidable presence in the mainstream pop market by landing multiple albums in the top 10 list of the most sold physical albums in the U.S. for the first half of the year.
On July 16th (local time), the U.S. entertainment industry data research firm Luminate released its "Luminate Midyear Music Report 2025".
According to the report, ENHYPEN's 6th mini album 'DESIRE : UNLEASH' sold approximately 145,000 copies in the U.S. during the reporting period (01.03.2025 - 07.05.2025), securing the 3rd spot in the 'U.S. Top 10 CD Albums'. This achievement comes just one month after its release on June 5th.
Additionally, when including digital album downloads, it ranked 9th in the 'U.S. Top 10 Albums' category. This indicates not only the collectible value of the album but also the widespread love for all the tracks included.
ENHYPEN's 'DESIRE : UNLEASH' made its debut at 3rd place on the 'Billboard 200', the main U.S. album chart, on June 21st and has remained on the chart for five consecutive weeks. The group's popularity is expected to continue into the second half of the year.
ENHYPEN had previously achieved the same ranking in both charts in the annual report for 2024 with their 2nd full album 'ROMANCE : UNTOLD'. Their status as 'top-tier' artists in the world's largest pop market, the U.S., is evident.
SEVENTEEN's global influence continues to grow. Their 5th full album 'HAPPY BURSTDAY', the K-pop artist album with the highest sales so far this year (2.92 million copies), has landed in 7th place in the 'U.S. Top 10 Albums'.
This album made a powerful entrance, going straight to 2nd place on the 'Billboard 200' on June 14th. Thus, SEVENTEEN has successfully placed seven albums consecutively in the 'Top 10' of the Billboard main chart, living up to the title of 'K-pop's top group'.
Previously, SEVENTEEN achieved the highest ranking for a K-pop artist in the 'Top Tours' category of the Billboard Boxscore for both the annual report of 2024 and the midyear of 2025. They soared from 31st place in 2024 to 3rd place in the first half of 2025, showcasing their immense drawing power in both album sales and live performances.
LE SSERAFIM's rise is also noteworthy. Their 5th mini album 'HOT' secured the 9th spot in the 'U.S. Top 10 CD Albums'. They are the only K-pop girl group to have an album enter the top 10 CD sales in the U.S. for the first half of the year.
'HOT' debuted at 9th place on the 'Billboard 200' upon its release in March. Additionally, it ranked 1st in 'Top Album Sales', which is determined by the physical album sales in the U.S. over a week.
LE SSERAFIM will embark on their first North American tour, '2025 LE SSERAFIM TOUR 'EASY CRAZY HOT' IN NORTH AMERICA', starting in September. Shows in six cities including Newark, Chicago, Grand Prairie, Inglewood, San Francisco, and Las Vegas have already sold out.
