The K-animation 'The King of Kings' has unveiled hidden voice acting Easter eggs scattered throughout the film.
'The King of Kings' is a global blockbuster that follows the journey of Charles Dickens, a renowned British author, and his youngest son Walter, as they travel back 2000 years into the greatest story ever told. Since its release on the 16th, finding the voices has become a highlight for the audience.
Leading actors Lee Byung-hun, Lee Ha-nee, and Jin Sun-kyu have enhanced the immersion by voicing multiple characters, not just sticking to one. Lee Byung-hun voiced a total of 7 characters, including the narrator 'Charles Dickens'.
Lee Byung-hun performed the voices of 'Scrooge', 'Nephew', 'Kind Man' from Dickens' own novel 'A Christmas Carol', as well as characters 'Joseph' and even 'God' in stories told to his son Walter. Notably, his portrayal of the 'Snake' in the Garden of Eden scene, with its uniquely persuasive and sly tone, has been highlighted as a memorable moment by the audience.

Lee Ha-nee voiced 'Catherine Dickens', 'Maria', and an 'Angel', delicately tuning the emotional arc of the film. Her involvement in the storytelling, sometimes listening alongside Dickens or even reading aloud herself, adds a warm sentiment and a human perspective through her voice.
Jin Sun-kyu took on the contrasting roles of 'Jesus' and 'Satan', embodying the core conflict of the narrative. His portrayal of 'Jesus' with conviction and mercy, and 'Satan' with temptation and division, created a stark contrast through voice alone, earning high praise for intensifying the narrative's tension.
Even the supporting voice cast, despite their brief appearances, left a strong impression. Lee Sung-mi, Kim Ji-sun, and Song Eun-yi, who participated as Women 5, 6, and 7, are noteworthy. Song Eun-yi shared, "I wanted to help promote the movie and was grateful for the chance to participate directly. It was a thrilling yet rewarding experience."

Lee Sung-mi emphasized, "While animation might conjure images of cuteness, this work also boasts epic visuals. To fully experience this sensation, it's a must-see in theaters." Kim Ji-sun added, "After hearing about the film through the news, Lee Sung-mi's suggestion to voice act made me jump at the opportunity without hesitation. It's an honor just to be part of this project."
Moreover, Lee Sung-mi and Song Eun-yi played a pivotal role in completing the voice casting, acting as a real link. Upon hearing about the film's production, they inquired about viewing it early and brought Lee Ha-nee along. Impressed by the film, Lee Ha-nee immediately decided to join, and even recommended Jin Sun-kyu. This process completed the casting lineup, from leads to supporting roles, and from veteran actors to entertainers.
Regarding the casting, director Jang Sung-ho said, "The casting turned out much better than planned or intended. I can only say we were incredibly lucky."
