YEONJUN of TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) has shared his thoughts on being the inspiration for the character 'Romance' in the Netflix animation 'KPop Demon Hunters'.
During the media showcase for their fourth full album 'The Star Chapter: TOGETHER' held at Kyung Hee University's Peace Hall on July 21, YEONJUN expressed, "I'm really thankful and honored to have been the inspiration for a character in 'KPop Demon Hunters', which has done incredibly well and elevated the status of K-Pop even further."
Previously, the creators of 'KPop Demon Hunters' revealed that they had based the visual model of the character 'Romance', a member of the Saja Boys, on YEONJUN. Indeed, YEONJUN's distinctive sharp features and stage charisma have been seamlessly integrated into the character, garnering significant attention from fans.
The show has become a hot topic among K-Pop fans worldwide, with the Saja Boys' soundtrack 'Soda Pop' receiving explosive reactions. Notably, it has sparked a challenge craze among elementary school students, earning the song the title of 'President of Elementary School'.
Leader SOOBIN commented, "We're incredibly grateful that our work has led so many people to take an interest in us, even if just for a moment. My nephew, who's in elementary school, boasts a lot about how popular TXT is at his school. It's really heartwarming and something we view very positively."
TAEHYUN added, "The title 'President of Elementary School' is very touching. I remember having artists I looked up to when I was younger, and if today's elementary students grow up saying 'Back in our day, it was all about TXT', that would mean a lot to us."
