Set in 1977, the story follows a group of hardworking, rural folks who are duped and deceived in their quest to claim a sunken treasure ship. 'Low Life' is set to open the treasure hunt with the release of episodes 4 and 5 on the 23rd. The preview stills released ahead of the main episodes capture the characters in action, each playing their part in the unfolding treasure hunt, drawing attention.
A scene at the dock, with characters facing a tense standoff before setting sail to the waters off Sinan, sparks curiosity about how they will navigate through the crisis. Following this, a shot of 'Oh Gwan-seok' (played by Ryu Seung-ryong) and 'Professor Kim' (played by Kim Eui-sung) sitting back to back, looking in different directions, hints at their conflicting inner thoughts and sets the stage for an exciting narrative centered around these characters.
The image of 'Oh Hee-dong' (played by Yang Se-jong) holding a basket of fish suggests the unpredictable moves of the country folks, amplifying curiosity. Additionally, a scene featuring 'Shim Hong-gi' (played by Lee Dong-hwi), a Mokpo police officer who prioritizes law enforcement, confronting 'Beolgu' (played by Jung Yun-ho) with a tense "Where do you think you're taking me?" adds a moment of tension.

According to director Kang Yoon-sung, "'Low Life' is fun to follow because of its characters. With each new episode, new characters are introduced, and the plot shifts depending on how these characters move and interact." The anticipation builds for the exploits of 'Oh Hee-dong', 'Im Jeon-chul' (played by Kim Sung-oh), 'Beolgu', 'Na Dae-sik' (played by Lee Sang-jin), and other country folks who are in for a rollercoaster ride of situations where they can't let their guard down for a second.
Bringing fresh fun and genre pleasure with a delightful treasure war among country folks from all over the nation, episodes 4 and 5 of 'Low Life' will be released on Disney+ on the 23rd, followed by two episodes each on the 30th (Wednesday), August 6th (Wednesday), and August 13th (Wednesday), totaling 11 episodes.
