On the 23rd, SBS's 'Kick a Goal' showcased the G-League semi-final match between Wonder Women and the Actionistas.
Before the match, captains and coaches from both teams participated in a press room interview.
KISUM, revealing it was Wonder Women's first time reaching the semi-finals since their formation, was met with Actionistas coach Lee Geun-ho's remark, "You must be satisfied then." To which KISUM responded, "No, I'm not satisfied. We didn't aim for the semi-finals; our goal is to win, so the semi-finals are just a step along the way," showing her ambitious spirit.
To this, Actionistas' Jung Hye-in retorted, "Since it's your first time in the semi-finals, leave the finals for next time. As always, Actionistas will make it to the finals. We have plenty of experience in both semi-finals and finals, so just watch how we do it and follow our lead," bringing laughter with her response.
During the day, a reporter asked Wonder Women's coach Jo Jae-jin, "Don't you think you're overly reliant on star players like Lee Jung-eun and now Mashima?"
Coach Jo Jae-jin asked what the reporter was aiming at, and upon reiteration of the question regarding the criticism, he responded, "Teams with Messi and Ronaldo win championships, don't they? It's the same thing. If you have good players, you're supposed to win," catching attention with his reply.
The semi-final match then kicked off. The Actionistas initially dominated the atmosphere. However, a potential opening goal by the Actionistas was thwarted by Mashima, who cleared the ball before it crossed the goal line, leading to a sigh of disappointment.
Following an Actionistas corner kick, Mashima intercepted the ball, broke through, and with a swift move, scored the opening goal, surprising everyone.
Especially noteworthy was the goal made by outmaneuvering Park Ji-an, who was marking her, drawing admiration.
In the latter half, Mashima scored an additional goal. The play, reminiscent of professional athletes, amazed Ha Seok-ju, and thus, Wonder Women led the game 2-0.
In the second half, both teams gave their all. Consequently, Wonder Women's So Yu-mi and Kim Seul-ki suffered muscle cramps and had to be substituted.
Actionistas' Jung Hye-in and Park Ji-an also showed signs of fatigue, gasping for air, unlike in previous matches, drawing attention.
No goals were scored in the second half, and Jung Hye-in encouraged her team to at least score one goal, even if they were to lose.
However, Wonder Women's defense and goalkeeper KISUM's superb saves prevented any goals, and the match concluded as is.
Upon reaching their first final, Wonder Women's KISUM shed tears, saying, "It took us three years to get here." For her, an original member, it was an especially poignant moment. She reflected, "It reminded me of the very beginning," as she was moved to tears.
KISUM then confidently stated that no matter who they face, Wonder Women will win.
Meanwhile, the broadcast teased the semi-final match between the Giants and the National Family, heightening anticipation for the next episode with the promised appearance of Hwang Hee-chan.
