Singer Lim Young-woong is returning with a full-length album after approximately 3 years and 2 months.
His agency, Mulgogi Music, announced on the 24th through their official social media channels that Lim Young-woong's second studio album 'IM HERO 2' will be released on August 29th.
The released teaser video features a sky-blue background symbolizing the fan club 'Hero Era', spreading pentagon logos, hearts blooming from clouds, and fluttering flower petals, evoking a warm and charming sentiment. A brief message delivered by Lim Young-woong, appearing as a king, has significantly heightened fans' anticipation.
This album comes about 3 years and 2 months after his first studio album 'IM HERO' released in May 2022. 'IM HERO' sold approximately 940,000 copies on its first day and surpassed 1.1 million copies within a week, setting a record for the highest sales by a male solo artist at the time.
'IM HERO 2' is expected to traverse a wide range of genres including ballads, trot, pop, hip-hop, dance, and folk, expanding Lim Young-woong's emotional depth and musical spectrum.
The agency stated, "Ahead of the album release, various content related to the comeback will be sequentially unveiled," and "plans to continue engaging with fans are in place."
Lim Young-woong's second studio album 'IM HERO 2' will be available on various music sites on August 29th (Friday).
