
Singer JK Kim Dong-wook was invited to perform at the People Power Party's convention but had to decline due to previously scheduled international commitments.
On the 24th, JK Kim Dong-wook shared on his social media, "I was honored to be invited to the 77th anniversary concert of the founding of South Korea and the People Power Party convention. Unfortunately, due to overseas schedules for music video shoots that were arranged long ago, I won't be able to attend." He expressed his regret and added, "I hope for a bit more notice next time," indicating his openness to future invitations.
The People Power Party plans to hold its convention to elect the next party leader on August 22nd at the Osco Convention Center in Cheongju.
JK Kim Dong-wook hinted at a comeback in April, saying, "Two songs are mix-mastered, and five more to go. I've poured the whirlwind of emotions I've felt over the past three years into them. I've taken on the roles of lyricist, composer, and producer myself and can't wait to share them with you as soon as possible."
Meanwhile, JK Kim Dong-wook, a Korean-Canadian, has gained attention for his repeated expressions of support for former President Yoon Seok-yeol on social media. Following the impeachment decision against Yoon earlier this year, he expressed strong regret, saying, "It makes me think South Korea could fall apart even faster."
