
Broadcaster Jang Sung-kyu has inked an exclusive contract with SM C&C.
SM C&C announced, "With his crisp voice, stable hosting abilities, and witty sense of humor, Jang Sung-kyu has become the newest member of our family. We plan to fully support him as he continues to make waves across various platforms including TV, OTT, and web-based shows."
Jang Sung-kyu first entered the scene in 2011 as a first-generation announcer for JTBC, making significant contributions to the ambiance of news and current affairs programs as well as the entertainment show 'Knowing Bros,' where he showcased his versatility by taking on various roles. He later emerged as a prominent 'announcer-tainer' through his work on JTBC's entertainment programs and web shows.
After going freelance in April 2019, Jang took on his first main MC role in tvN's music mystery show 'Super Hero.' He has since shown his diverse talents in shows like Mnet's 'Queendom,' 'Road to Kingdom,' Tving's 'Zero Sum Game,' tvN's 'Wedding Fighters,' KBS2's 'Carwash JANG,' and is currently active in KBS2's 'Ajobter,' MBN's 'The Great Show: Taekwon,' and SBS's 'Tails of Tales,' showcasing his limitless hosting skills.
Beyond TV programs, Jang has also flawlessly taken on the role of MC at various year-end award ceremonies, solidifying his irreplaceable presence in the entertainment industry. He has confidently anchored ceremonies like MBC's 'Gayo Daejejeon' (2019-2022) and KBS's 'Drama Awards' (2023, 2024), earning recognition for his seasoned expertise.
Known for his exceptional comedic talent, Jang was the original hardworking man on the job experience YouTube show 'Workman,' where he shared the joys and sorrows of challenging work environments for six years. Currently, he is engaging with fans on his newly launched YouTube channel 'Retired Jang Sung-kyu.'
Meanwhile, Jang Sung-kyu's new home, SM C&C, houses a plethora of entertainers and actors including Kang Ho-dong, Jun Hyun-moo, Seo Jang-hoon, Han Seok-jun, Jang Young-ran, Kim Soo-ro, and Lee Hak-joo.
