Actor Ahn Hyo-seop has showcased his global star quality through a special fan event.
Ahn Hyo-seop, who has been juggling a hectic schedule with his roles as the leader of 'Saja Boys' in Netflix's global hit 'KPop Demon Hunters' and Kim Dokja in the recently released movie 'Omniscient Reader', has launched two special events for fans worldwide.
In 'KPop Demon Hunters', Ahn took on the role of 'JINU', the leader of the group 'Saja Boys' and an idol reaper, challenging himself with voice acting and capturing the attention of global fans. His cover video of the theme song 'FREE' hit 10 million views on YouTube within a day of its release, captivating fans worldwide with its explosive response.
The first event, designed to enhance interaction with global fans, is a fan participation event themed around 'JINU' from Netflix's 'KPop Demon Hunters'. Fans are encouraged to freely express 'Messages to JINU' and upload them to their Instagram. Through a draw, 20 participants will receive 'Saja Boys' merchandise signed by Ahn Hyo-seop himself. This event, encouraging creative participation, is expected to be a symbolic platform for interaction, showcasing not only the charm of the character JINU but also Ahn Hyo-seop's global popularity.
The second event is an offline fan event to celebrate the release of the movie 'Omniscient Reader'. From July 23 to August 23, a month-long 'A Day in the Life of Dokja' self-photo frame event will take place at Photoism boxes and Colored locations nationwide. This collaboration is themed around the everyday life of 'Kim Dokja', the character from 'Omniscient Reader', as an ordinary office worker.
The 'A Day in the Life of Dokja' frame features the concept of an office worker's daily routine, including going to work, pondering over lunch options, waiting for the end of the workday while watching the clock, and ending the day with a late-night snack. Ahn Hyo-seop's witty portrayal of various poses and cute stickers decorate the frame. Fans can use the frame customization feature to create their unique photos, offering a special fun in reinterpreting the charm of Kim Dokja's character from an everyday perspective.
Ahn Hyo-seop made his screen debut with 'Omniscient Reader'. Based on the globally popular web novel of the same name, the movie tells the story of Kim Dokja, the sole reader of a novel that becomes reality on the day it concludes. Together with the novel's protagonist 'Yoo Joonghyuk' (played by Lee Min-ho) and allies, they strive to survive in a doomed world.
