Model and beauty entrepreneur Ji Yoon-mi, 30, is continuing her fight against malicious online rumors, this time sharing that the individual responsible has officially been forwarded to the prosecution.
On the 24th, Ji Yoon-mi revealed through her social media that the police investigation into the person who spread false claims about her has been completed. “So many people have expressed concern and support throughout this time, which is why I’m choosing to share the results publicly,” she wrote. “This is proof that even careless words come with legal consequences.”
According to Ji Yoon-mi, the individual in question—referred to as A—has been handed over to the prosecution on charges including defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act (for spreading false information and inciting anxiety), intimidation, and violating the Anti-Stalking Act.
Ji Yoon-mi firmly stated, “I’ve never had any contact with this person. I don’t even know if they truly exist.” She went on to condemn A for fabricating and spreading false claims, including rumors that she had worked in the adult entertainment industry. “I have never worked at a nightclub or anything of the sort, not even once. There is no possible way to provide evidence for something that never happened. Every single claim is 100% false,” she asserted.
She continued, “Now that no evidence has surfaced, they’ve changed their story and are throwing around baseless allegations about VIP escort services.” Ji Yoon-mi called the behavior not just rumor-spreading but a serious crime, adding, “I will pursue criminal liability to the very end for anyone who distorts the truth or tries to amplify these lies.”
Ji Yoon-mi made her debut in the entertainment industry with 'Ulzzang Generation Season 7' in 2013 and has since appeared in dramas such as 'Bubble Gum', 'Who Are You: School 2015', and 'Please Come Back, Mister'. After transitioning to a model and beauty businesswoman, Ji Yoon-mi married a non-celebrity in 2023, gave birth to a daughter, and is currently pregnant with her second child.
Recently, Ji Yoon-mi appeared on Lee Ji-hye's YouTube channel 'Gwanjong Un-ni', where she shared her current status as a self-made businesswoman with an annual revenue of 10 billion won.
