After interviewing countless stars, broadcaster Ha Ji-young has ventured into solo media by launching her own YouTube channel. For her first guest, she invited none other than actor Ryu Seung-ryong, showcasing the dynamic chemistry between the two, who share a long-standing connection.
The debut video on 'YouTube Ha Ji-young' features actor Ryu Seung-ryong, who has been busy with the Disney+ original series 'Low Life'. In the video, Ryu humorously congratulates Haji on her YouTube launch, blending encouragement with his signature serious charm, eliciting laughter. When Haji jokingly asks if he'd consider investing about 3 million won, Ryu responds with his characteristic playful expression, displaying the delightful banter known as 'HaRyong Siblings'.
Their relationship dates back to the late 2000s during the SBS show 'Night of TV Entertainment'. Ha Ji-young shared, "Ryu Seung-ryong always sincerely responded to interview requests, even during tough shooting schedules, earning me recognition among producers. He's been a reliable senior, keeping in touch even after the show ended."
Ha Ji-young is known as a 'networking mogul' for her interviews with numerous stars, including actress Kim Hye-soo. She described Kim as "a beautiful sister who has been looking after me since 2007," mentioning how Kim would send her meat and portable grills for holidays and even a mother's coat in winter to keep her warm. Kim Hye-soo continued to show her unwavering friendship by sending Ha Ji-young fresh kimchi.
Before launching her YouTube channel, Ha Ji-young expressed, "I mustered the courage I thought I'd never have and struggled for six months with just a plan. I hope even just one viewer finds this program worth watching."
With the start of 'YouTube Ha Ji-young', Ha Ji-young is set to take on a new challenge in acting with the play 'Star of Seoul' next month.
