Actor Kim Dong-won has confirmed his role as Lee Hyuk, the brother of Kim Young-kwang's character, in the new KBS 2TV weekend drama 'Eun-soo Good Day', promising yet another powerful transformation in his acting career.
His agency, Lucky Monster Entertainment, announced, "Actor Kim Dong-won will be appearing in 'Eun-soo Good Day' as Lee Hyuk. He plans to fully showcase his acting skills, honed through taking on a variety of characters, in this new project."
Set to premiere on September 20th, the new KBS 2TV weekend miniseries 'Eun-soo Good Day' (directed by Song Hyun-wook / written by Jeon Young-shin) tells the gripping and intense story of a parent, Kang Eun-soo, and a two-faced teacher, Lee Kyung, who inadvertently get involved with a bag of drugs in their quest to protect their family. The recent script reading highlighted the actors' overwhelming synergy and the compelling storyline, raising anticipation.
Kim Dong-won's character, Lee Hyuk, is the brother of Lee Kyung (played by Kim Young-kwang) and plays a crucial role in the narrative. Kim has previously demonstrated his ability to deliver both delicate and intense performances, playing a mercenary killer 'Ho-young' in ENA's 'The Kidnapping Day' and a psychopath 'Uhm Tae-sung' in Netflix's 'The Trunk'. He has left a deep impression on viewers by portraying characters with a tough exterior but a deficient and wounded inner self in a multi-dimensional manner.
Especially, Kim Dong-won has established himself as a 'trustworthy actor' by showcasing his masculine action scenes and profound emotional acting in every project. There is growing anticipation for the new facets he will reveal in 'Eun-soo Good Day'.
Kim Dong-won is also set to appear in the highly anticipated Disney+ original series 'The Murky Stream', continuing his busy acting career.
Meanwhile, 'Eun-soo Good Day' is directed by Song Hyun-wook, known for 'The Beauty Inside' and 'My Roommate Is a Gumiho', and written by Jeon Young-shin, who penned 'Trap' and 'The Cursed: Dead Man’s Prey'.
